A man dressed as a woman was arrested and charged with voyeurism after police say he was taking video of a woman in the bathroom stall next to him.

The Greenville Police arrested Shawn Thomas Hallett, 38, Sunday after the incident, which occurred at a QuikTrip convenience store, according to WYFF, a South Carolina news station. Hallett was wearing a wig and woman's clothing at the time.

According to a statement from Greenville Police, a woman had entered the woman's bathroom at the convenience store and knocked on one of the stall doors.

She told police she heard a man's voice reply but saw women's shoes under the stall and decided to go into an adjacent stall in the restroom.

Soon after, she saw a cell phone appear under the stall wall next to her. She quickly left the bathroom, alerted a friend, and called police.

Before police could arrive, the suspect had left the restroom. Two witnesses told police they saw him exit the store; however, police were soon able to locate him nearby, FOX Carolina reported.

Once police tracked him down, they examined the contents of his phone and found video of the victim on the cell phone. Hallett was taken into custody and charged with voyeurism, police said.

Hallett is reportedly from Levelland, Texas, according to WYFF.

He is currently being held at the Greenville County Detention Center on a $5,000 bond, according to online jail records.
