Man Lured Brooklyn Teen Girl To Texas Trailer Park To Make Child Porn, Prosecutors Say

Billy Harmon Dunn Jr. faces underage sex and child porn charges after allegedly grooming a 15-year-old Brooklyn girl he'd met online.

A Texas man allegedly brought a Brooklyn teen across state lines with the goal of forcing her to make child porn in a trailer park, according to federal prosecutors.

Billy Harmon Dunn Jr., 48, was arrested last week for allegedly driving the 15-year-old girl to Kosse, Texas, from her home in Brooklyn after meeting her online and spending several weeks grooming her with sexually explicit conversations, according to a complaint filed in Brooklyn Federal Court.

“We stand firm in our commitment to stop online predators from exploiting children,” stated U.S. Attorney Richard Donoghue. “I commend the dedicated members of law enforcement who quickly collaborated across the country to locate the victim and apprehend the defendant.”

Dunn first made contact with the teen in August 2018 under the screen name “daddydrill1982,” discussing in detail how he wanted to have sex with the girl, according to the complaint. In his first missive to the 15-year-old, Dunn got right to the point.

"You need to show me them titties and seriously consider living with me, as my daughter that I f--k day and night," Dunn allegedly wrote.

Over the next several days, he continued to send her lewd messages telling her what he wanted to do with her, specifically mentioning his intention to film her, as well as asking for more explicit photos, including ones with her face, prosecutors said.

During the time that they were chatting, Dunn identified himself as a “retired army, disabled vet” with a small dog and boasted that he could “literally f--k all night,” according to the complaint. In an effort to verify his identity, Dunn sent the teen a picture of his military identification, which corresponded with his name and address in Texas, prosecutors said.

The pair regularly discussed the idea of the girl traveling to meet him in Kosse, Texas, a small town southeast of Dallas, investigators said. Dunn allegedly planned to buy the girl a bus ticket, but changed his plans when he discovered that, because she was so young, she would not be able to travel without her parents, prosecutors said.

Instead, Dunn rented a car and drove approximately 1,600 miles to Brooklyn, arriving on Sept. 6. He then allegedly kidnapped the girl and drove her back to his home in a trailer park in Kosse, prosecutors said.

The victim’s mother reported her missing within hours, prosecutors said. On Sept. 14, the girl contacted her mother and said she wanted to come home but could not. Investigators soon found the girl’s online profile, and after obtaining information from the unnamed “adult website” where the pair had been communicating, tracked her location to the Camp Kosse RV Park, prosecutors said. When they searched the trailer, they also found Dunn's phone, which had nude photos of the 15-year-old on it.

Kosse was read his Miranda rights at the scene, but freely admitted to police that he had driven the girl across state lines, telling the officers he thought she was 16 (although the age of consent in Texas is 17), according to the complaint. He was arrested on the spot, and last week was charged with transporting a minor across state lines to engage in illegal sexual activity as well as producing child pornography in federal court in Waco, Texa. He is currently awaiting extradition to Brooklyn, prosecutors said.
