Text Sent From Phone Of Missing Colorado Woman 3 Days After She Mysteriously Vanished On Thanksgiving

"We just want you to come home," Kelsey Berreth's mom tearfully says as police continue investigating her disappearance.

Days after a Colorado mother was last seen shopping at a grocery store on Thanksgiving, a text message was sent from her phone to her employer asking for a week off work.

Kelsey Berreth hasn't been seen since she was shopping at a Safeway on Nov. 22. Three days after vanishing, a text was sent from her phone to Doss Aviation, a flight school in Colorado Springs where she worked as an instructor, informing them that she planned to take a week off of work, Woodland Park Police said in a press conference Monday according to the New York Post.

The text was sent the same day investigators said her phone pinged from Gooding, Idaho, approximately 700 miles from her Colorado home. Her mother, Cheryl Berreth lives in Idaho, but says her daughter made no attempt to contact family living there, according to East Idaho News.

Berreth's fiance, Patrick Frazee, with whom she shares a 1-year-old daughter, said the last communication he had with her was also on Nov. 25, three days after she was seen on surveillance footage shopping at the store, KRDO reports. He told police the last time he physically saw Berreth was on Thanksgiving, when she brought him their daughter.

Frazee was invited to attend the press conference, but chose not to come, Woodland Park Police Chief Miles De Young told reporters at the press conference.

De Young said Frazee, who has been with the couple's daughter since the disappearance, has been cooperating with the investigation. When asked whether police have searched Frazee's home, De Young said it may be "something to look into," the news station reports.

Police have already searched Berreth's home and discovered a pan of cold cinnamon rolls in the kitchen. She also reportedly left behind her clothes, make up and suitcases.

“This is a missing person case, and right now, there are a lot more questions than there are answers,” Susan Medina, a spokeswoman for the Colorado Bureau of Investigation said, according to The Gazette. “Our bottom line is: We want to find Kelsey.”

Berreth's mother also addressed the media Monday saying her daughter's disappearance was "completely out of character" for the 29-year old.

"She loves her God, family and friends, her job. She’s reliable, considerate, honest,” she said, according to the newspaper.

She doesn't believe her daughter would have just run off.

"We just want you to come home," she told her daughter through tears, according to KRDO. "Call us if you can, and we won't quit looking."
