One Pacific Northwest predator is going from his “gingerbread house” of sin to the big house this holiday season.

Daniel Wood, 57, who was caught stashing child porn in a fairy-like, sylvan hovel, was sentenced to nine months in prison last week, according the Seattle Post-Intelligencer.

He pleaded guilty back in November to one count of second-degree possession of child pornography and one count of second-degree attempted viewing of child pornography

Wood was arrested back in March, two years after a U.S. Forest Service worker in Seattle discovered Wood’s den of iniquity, located in Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest.

It was "an elaborate tree house that resembled a fairy or gingerbread house," according to the FBI incident report.

“On all four walls were framed pictures of fairy-like figures or what appeared to be young girls,” with two in particular featuring “what appeared to be young girls, approximately 8-12 years old,” an FBI agent wrote in the charging papers, according to the Seattle Times.

As for the images in the envelope, the agent wrote, “Some of these appeared to be fictional, but there were several that contained images of young girls naked or scantily-clothed."

After the 2016 discovery of the cabin, authorities used eyewitness accounts to match the suspect's license plates to a car seen at the treehouse and furthermore, they used DNA found on items inside the house, which they matched with a discarded paper cup belonging to Wood earlier this year.

Police found thousands of additional images of child pornography at his home. Many of the images found at his home matched some of the printed-out photos hung up on the walls of the cabin, Fox News reports.

Wood reportedly made a plea deal with prosecutors, the Post-Intelligencer reports; one charge of child porn possession was reduced to attempted viewing of child porn. Sentencing documents viewed by the paper also said that in addition to jail time, Wood will have to register as a sex offender and partake in treatment for sexual deviancy.

Additionally, he will not be permitted to contact any children “without qualified supervision” for 10 years, according to the Post-Intelligencer.
