Before the pop culture bloggers meet the Nail’d It contestants they are treated to a manicure backstage. Each client’s nails are buffed and shaped to make sure nails are uniform and clean.
The bloggers arrive on set with blank canvases for the contestants.
During the break the clients are carefully fed by hand! We can’t have them messing up all of Classic, Jaime, and LaToya’s hard work.

After the winner is announced all of the clients head backstage to the Nail'd It “nail porn” studio to get their finished look photographed!
Classic, Jaime, and LaToya are given hours to improve the look and are filmed and photographed the entire time!
While the contestants are working away the nail models are getting primped backstage.
Hair, make-up, and wardrobe work around the manicurists to get the models ready for application of the final looks.
Flawless judge and nail pioneer, Jan Arnold, arrives with a one of a kind and highly intricate nail design. This look was done by hand and took hours to create.
Once the elimination challenge is complete the nails are applied to the models hands and they are given super soft pillows to relax while the judges painstakingly deliberate and review each and every bit of art up close.
Each judge has a checklist and takes copious notes on the contestants designs.
The contestants sketch and outline their designs before starting. At this point in the game mistakes can cost you precious time and possibly the win.
All of the models know how to rest their hands so that they are comfortable and the judges can still see all of the nail art.
Nai'd It contestants have access to a world of unconventional options to take their designs to the next level. This is not your usual salon nail art.
All of the nail models are professionals, they know how to strike a pose.
Before stepping on to the elimination stage with the contestants each model’s hair and makeup is touched up very carefully so that the art is never touched.
Behind the elimination curtain the models get a chance to check out each others art!
After the show the models immediately have their nail art carefully removed and stored in the Nail’d It archives.
Once the final elimination is complete the Classic, Jaime, and LaToya are allowed to check back in on their social media accounts. Classic was matching from ring to tips!
