Dr. Phil is far from a reputable psychologist, but that hasn't stopped him from giving condescending advice to America for years. Now, following the massive viral explosion of a short clip from his show featuring misbehaving teen Danielle Peskowitz Bregoli, Phil has publicly demeaned his interview subject in a move best described as shady AF. This all went down when Phil decided to invite Bregoli back on his show for another round of interviews. But Bregoli's fresh mouth bested him every step of the way:
In the interviews, Bregoli claims that Dr. Phil was "nothing before I came on this show."
Phil continued to carry on his Instagram, where he posted this not-so-subtle jab at his guest:
Meanwhile, The Palm Beach Post tracked down Bregoli's biological father, who seems to want to distance himself from this whole thing and denies abandoning his girl:
“That behavior is appalling. And it’s appalling that anyone can think it is acceptable behavior,” says Ira Peskowitz, a Palm Beach resident who helped found a police tennis association for local children, who left Danielle's mother following a series of disputes and disagreements. “And Dr. Phil? Shame on him ... The saddest part is the one person who is going to suffer and be damaged from all of this is an innocent child who did nothing.”
“Danielle feels rejected by me. That poor girl. I did not abandon her. I left her mother, but I did not abandon her,” adds Peskowitz. “I know there is a little girl in there and I hope one day she can hug me and say, ‘I love you, daddy.’”
