Following national protests and outcry, people are still figuring out what Donald Trump's presidency means and how America will change with him in the White House. Activist actor Jesse Williams has some comforting advice on how we can deal with Trump in a safe and constructive way.
Williams took to Twitter yesterday to share his thoughts: "Be tired. Be mad. Be honest & concerned. But be not afraid. Rest up. Be safe. Come together. Construct. Know your surroundings. Be creative."
Fans responded resoundingly. "Agreed. We need to be prepared to fight and protest to keep our rights," tweeted one. "I love you so much for this. Hard to be optimistic at all right now but these words are assuring," added another.
Anti-Trump sentiment has taken over social media. Following the election results, the Grey's Anatomy actor has been sharing and re-tweeting stories from people who already feel threatened and unsafe because of Trump's win, including women and Muslims being harrassed.
