Where there’s a will, there’s a way for another celebrity conspiracy theory. Name a celebrity and there’s likely a juicy conspiracy theory surrounding them. Granted, all of these conspiracy theories are the collective rantings of people who go on Internet forums to discuss whether or not certain celebrities might be reptoids or not, but they still exist. And if nothing else, these conspiracy theories should bring great joy to our lives, being as humorous as they are.
Given that all of the celebs on this list are high profile and consistently in the media, it’s a wonder that none of them have let slip about their alleged secrets. Here are some of the craziest celebrity conspiracy theories floating around the Internet today.
1. . Katy Perry Is JonBenét Ramsey
Conspiracy theorists believe that the 1996 murder of JonBenét Ramsey was elaborately orchestrated so that the star Katy Perry could rise like a phoenix from the ashes. The YouTube video above makes a tenuous argument for the case, saying that Ramsey and Perry’s parents look similar to one another, and that Ramsey and Perry look alike, especially because their eyebrows are sort of the same. Compelling evidence to say the least...
2. . O.J. Simpson Is Khloe Kardashian’s Real Father
The paternity of Khloe Kardashian has long been the source of gossip. It’s even been addressed in an episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Khloe staunchly refusing to take a DNA test. This conspiracy theory has been encouraged by Robert Kardashian’s ex-wife, Jan Ashley, who claimed that the late Robert told her O.J. Simpson was Khloe’s father, and that Kris Jenner was trying to cover it up. The Internet has since gone to great pains to photoshop pictures of O.J. next to Khloe, insisting that everything we need to know about her paternity can be found in the resemblance between the two. Most recently, Ian Halperin, author of Kardashian Dynasty: The Controversial Rise of America's Royal Family, has also suggested that the likeness between O.J. and Khloe is proof enough that the two are father and daughter.
3. . The Whole Kanye Vs. Taylor Swift Conflict Is An Inside Job
After Kanye West stormed the stage at the 2009 VMAs to interrupt Taylor Swift’s award acceptance speech, Guest of a Guest speculated that the whole incident was scripted. The site claimed that as the two celebrities shared the same agent, that same agent saw an opportunity to make headlines. The conspiracy theory was reignited earlier this year when West took aim at Swift on his new record The Life Of Pablo, rapping "I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex / Why? I made that bitch famous." West claimed he had Swift’s blessing on the lyric, while her camp denied it, once again stirring up a shit storm in the media. So are they real rivals, or is this an inside job? Many conspiracy theorists believe the latter-- that the West vs. Swift conflict is a career long orchestration in which both sides are complicit.
4. . Miley Cyrus Died In 2010 And The Miley We Know Now Is Actually A Replacement
A few celebs have death/replacement rumours circulating around them, like Avril Lavigne. As it turns out, there’s a whole online forum dedicated to Miley Cyrus truthers who believe that Miley’s body was found (dead) in the desert in 2010, and since then the Miley we’ve been seeing is a replacement. The denizens of the forum explain the uncanny likeness between pre-2010 Miley and current Miley as a feat of plastic surgery. It’s a true testament to what people will believe.
5. . North West Is The Antichrist
Aside from her parents being suspected members of the Illuminati, North West has been the subject of her very own special conspiracy theory since birth. Some conspiracy theorists believe that North was born prematurely on June 15, 2013, or 6/15/2013 in numerical format, and that with some pretty complicated math--6/ (1+5)=6/ 2+0+1+3=6 therefore 6/15/2013 = 666) have decided that North is, in fact, the Antichrist. It’s MATH, people.
6. . Beyoncé Is Really Her “Sister” Solange’s Mother
From complicated math to very bad math, the conspiracy theory that Beyoncé, who we know as big sister to Solange Knowles, is actually her mother, revolves around some pretty incorrect equations. We know Beyoncé to be 34 and Solange to be 29, which means in our reality Bey would have been pregnant at five years old, which we know to be impossible as girls aren’t even ovulating--a necessary biological step in reproduction--at that time. Conspiracy theorists believe that Bey was actually born in 1974 (making her 42 now), based on--wait for it--Gabrielle Union, who was born in 1972, saying that she and Queen B were friends “as teenagers” in an interview. To hold water, the theory would still have Beyoncé pregnant at 12 or 13, which is possible, but still really, really young. Oh and there are people who believe Tina Knowles isn’t Bey’s mother, but actually her sister. Haters really are corny with that Illuminati mess.
