It's unclear if Kanye West was 100% serious about running for president in 2020, but if he does decide to go through with it, his wife is more than ready to step into her role as first lady.

Kim Kardashian recently posed for a presidential-themed photo shoot for Interview magazine, channeling Jackie Kennedy and bringing along North West to really recreate the "first family" vibes.

Kim shared a few photos from the shoot on her Instagram earlier this week, calling the experience something that she will "cherish forever as such an amazing memory with [her] daughter."

Not everyone was feeling Kim's Jackie O impression, though. Shortly after photos from the shoot began to circulate online, the backlash began, with some slamming Interview for dubbing Kim "America's New First Lady," and others accusing Kim of darkening her skin.

Steven Klein, the photographer behind the camera for Kim's controversial shoot, had nothing but praise for Kim, Us Weekly reports.

"As a model, Kim is a chameleon," he said in a statement. "She can easily change accordingly to the set intention and with little effort. It is her gift: her innate relationship to the camera. A muse of modern times."
