Lil Wayne is currently recovering in a Chicago hospital after suffering multiple seizures on Sunday.
TMZ reports that the epileptic rapper was rushed to Northwestern Memorial after being found unconscious in his hotel room, seemingly having suffered at least one seizure. Wayne later suffered another seizure at the hospital, prompting doctors to advise against his release; as a result, Wayne's scheduled Sunday night performance at Drai's Beachclub in Las Vegas was cancelled in order to give the rapper more time to rest.
"Lil Wayne and the entire Young Money / Maverick team are valued partners and members of the Drai's LIVE family," the club wrote on Instagram. "Our priority is the health and well-being of our artists. Everyone at Drai's wishes Lil Wayne a speedy recovery during this time."
Wayne suffered a number of seizures last year; first in June, when his private plane had to perform two emergency landings in order to seek medical attention for Wayne, and again in July, when his seizures hit mere moments before he was scheduled to take the stage for a performance.
He addressed the latter incident via Twitter, writing, "False Alarm! I appreciate da prayers and konsern but I'm good!!! Luv!!!!"
