Rapper Fredo Santana was found dead in his Los Angeles home on Friday, The New York Daily News reports.
Santana, who hails from Chicago and is the cousin of Chief Keef, apparently suffered a seizure that proved fatal. He was discovered by his girlfriend when she came to visit him at around 11:30 p.m. that night. According to The Daily News, Santana, whose real name was Derrick Coleman, spoke openly about being addicted to lean, which is known to cause seizures. He'd also been hospitalized in recent months due to continuing liver and kidney problems.
Santana was 27 years old at the time of his death and leaves behind an 8-month-old son, TMZ reports. Numerous artists, including his cousin Chief Keef, have taken to social media to share a few words about the late rapper.
