Rapper Jim Jones was arrested on multiple gun and drug charges after being involved in a police chase this week.

Jones, whose legal name is Joseph Guillermo Jones, was taken into custody in Georgia on Wednesday night, The Newnan Times-Herald reported.

He now is reportedly facing charges that include theft by receiving stolen property, possession of firearm during the commission of a crime, narcotics possession, and marijuana possession.

The 41-year-old "We Fly High" rapper and reality TV star was in the backseat of an SUV on Wednesday night when the driver of the vehicle, Ana Rajnee Miles, attempted to flee a routine traffic stop, leading police on a brief chase and striking a police car with her vehicle before being apprehended, The Newnan Times-Herald reported.

After searching the car, police found marijuana, Oxycodone, Percocet, THC oil, a loaded pistol, and a handgun that had been reported stolen, they said. Police also said they found Jones’ passport and $148 in cash in the same backpack where the oxycodone and the pistol were discovered, according to reports.

While Jones admitted to smoking marijuana, he denied that any of the marijuana in the car belonged to him, according to The Newnan Times-Herald. He also denied having any knowledge of the firearms and claimed he’d received a prescription for the pills. He said that he told Miles to pull the car over, but she was “incoherent.”

All four occupants of the car were booked into the Coweta County Jail early Thursday morning, and Jones was later released on $7,000 bail, TMZ reported.
