Remy Ma's Childhood Dream Was To Become A Mortician

It sounds like all those experiments were useful for rap battles too...

Over the years, Remy Ma has become one of the most well-known female rappers in the game, but despite her success in that arena, rapping wasn't actually Remy's childhood dream.

"The weird thing is I never wanted to be a rapper," Remy explained during an interview with the podcast Another Round, BET reports. "I'm actually friends with some of my teachers from school and they all think it's the most insane thing in the world that I'm a rapper."

So what was her dream job, then? Remy revealed that she wanted to be a mortician, and if that's not the most badass thing you've ever heard, then I don't know what to tell you. She and her friends used to steal medical supplies and experiment on each other, which was hopefully not as weird as it sounds.

"I was the person who would go to the doctor and steal equipment and be an amateur lobotomist and gas my friends and draw their blood and they let me," she explained. "If I got sick and went to the emergency room it was like a free for all."

"I felt like, if I were a mortician, I would get to see everything," she continued. "I'd get to cut open the body and look at all the organs and then put them back together. And, the fashion stuff would come in and I'd get to dress them and do their makeup and their hair. That was my dream job and I was like 'People die all the time, I'm going to have a job forever.'" How smart is that, though?

There's definitely a joke looming in here about Remy having a knack for dead people when you consider how she bodied that diss... but I digress. You can listen to the full interview here.
