Nicki Minaj and her former longtime boyfriend Safaree Samuels may have broken up ages ago, but Samuels still has a lot to say on the matter.
In case you missed it, last month The Game implied that Meek Mill orchestrated the breakup between Safaree and Nicki, writing on Instagram that he Facetimed Nicki while Safaree was with another woman. Safaree responded with a heavy dose of shade, writing, "Honestly, I should thank him."
Safaree elaborated on what he meant during an interview with Rap-Up, saying, "I'm just saying, I just meant like...[Meek Mill] definitely was a big part as to why me and Nicki broke up, you know what I'm saying? So, that's why I said that."
As far as the breakup goes, he's over it - as well as the lawsuit he filed, and later dropped, against Nicki. Originally, he was requesting a portion of her album sales, and once Nicki heard about it, she blasted him on Twitter, calling him "miserable."
"I dropped everything," he explained. "I'd started a process and then I was like, 'It is what it is. If you want to deal with it like that, go ahead. I ain't trippin'.' I'm doing a lot and I don't want to have to deal with depositions and courts and all of that. Ain't nobody threatened me. Ain't nobody make me do it. At the end of the day, I didn't even wanna do it. I just know if it was me and the shoe was on the other foot, I'd handle it and just say, 'Peace out. Here. Do what you gotta do. That's it.' But I just dropped it."
