I ain’t afraid of no ghosts, but I am afraid of this burger. It looks so powerful. Can anyone bust it? By “bust” I mean “fit in their mouth.” Mashable reports that Japanese burger chain J.S. Burgers Cafe has this delicious monstrosity on their new menu. It’s a Ghostbusters themed meal, which will be available from July 1 – Sept. 30 to correspond with the film's July 15th release.
In addition to the black bun burger, there’s a smoothie calibrated to look like Slimer’s leavings, with tiny burger candies on top:
And also a dessert burger, somewhat reminiscent of the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man, but you know, oozing blood. And it is also a burger.
Maybe the theme is actually burgers? Except for whatever this is:
Considering how much controversy the film has generated, the meal is bound to have some attached to it as well. No one can see a black bun without thinking of the Halloween-themed burger by Burger King that notoriously turned everyone’s poop bright green. Burger King never revealed what the secret ingredient in their black buns was, but J.S. Burgers say the color comes from "black-olive-and-anchovy-paste.” That sounds pretty tasty, whatever color it turns my poop. Haunt my stomach, spooky treat!
