Tom Brady Kissed His Son On The Mouth And Some People Are Weirded Out About It (Video)

Is it actually weird or are people overreacting?

Is it appropriate for a father to kiss his son on the lips?

During a recent episode of his Facebook show Tom vs. Time, NFL star Tom Brady inadvertently sparked a social media debate about the appropriateness of displays of affection between fathers and sons.

During one brief scene, the New England Patriots quarterback is getting a massage when his 10-year-old son Jack comes into the room to ask if can check his fantasy football standings, E! News reports.

"What do I get?" Tom asks. Jack then leans over and kisses his father on the lips.

"That was like, a peck," Tom says. Jack then comes back and gives his dad a slightly longer kiss.

While it may have been intended as an innocent exchange of affection among family members, some who viewed the scene took to social media to express their discomfort — and, in some cases, disgust — with Brady's actions.

Others defended Brady amidst the backlash.

Brady has yet to comment on the controversy, but during a chat with TMZ, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce defended his fellow footballer, telling the outlet, "I feel like it's definitely just family love."

NFL Hall of Famer Willie Roaf also had Brady's back, explaining that while it isn't something he personally would do, he doesn't think Brady did anything inappropriate.

"I don't have a problem with it," Roaf said. "I don't think it's that big a deal."
