Want perfect skin? Your own blood may be the secret. Celebrities and beauty junkies swear that rubbing blood all over their faces is the best way to get rid of wrinkles and hyperpigmentation.
German orthopedic doctor Barbara Sturm, known for her famous "vampire facials," has invented a face cream called MC1 that is infused with proteins from the user's actual blood. According to the NY Post, the cream, which costs $950 a jar, has folks like supermodel Rosie Huntington-Whiteley,The Coveteur and IntoTheGloss going crazy with supposed benefits like younger-looking skin, collagen growth and the ability to heal scabs.
"It’s very good to make the pores smaller, take irritation and redness away, and heal the skin. You can also use it for scars. I mix it in a pharmacy fresh and it lasts for 5 weeks," says Dr. Sturm. Each additional jar is Fed-Exed to you for $450.
Want your own bottle of MC1? You'll need to fly to Germany to one of Sturm’s clinics or be important enough that she'll meet with you in-person, at which point she’ll draw your blood for your personalized cream.
