Apart from being a legendary soul and gospel powerhouse, Patti LaBelle has always been known for her cooking. A great chunk of the country got to experience Ms. Patti's delightful recipe when her Walmart pies went viral, thanks to a hilarious blogger. Now, LaBelle is getting her own show!
It's really not that surprising given that she's already had a best-selling cookbook, but the timing is also interesting as it will now (possibly) rival Martha Stewart and Snoop Dogg's brand spanking new cooking show.
The show is reportedly titled Patti LaBelle’s Place, and will be on the Cooking Channel. The series will begin with just six episodes, set to debut on December 3, and will feature guests like 50 Cent, Gayle King, Kirk Franklin, and Erica Campbell. The menu so far includes sauteéd green beans, fried chicken, catfish, and Patti's very own "secret" salad dressing to name a few.
Just in time for the holidays, folks! How many of you want to bet she kicks off her shoes in the kitchen, too? I got five on it!
