Wendy Williams dropped some big news on her fans this week.
During Wednesday's taping of The Wendy Williams Show, the talk show host announced that she's been diagnosed with Graves' disease, an immune system disorder that results in the overproduction of thyroid hormones, Mayo Clinic reports. It can lead to bulging eyes, anxiety, and fatigue, among other things.
"Graves' disease squeezes the muscles behind the eyeballs," Williams explained to the studio audience. She also shared that she'd developed an eye twitch due to the condition, People reports, and pointed out that viewers noticed an issue with her eyes even before she did.
Following her diagnosis, Williams will be taking a three-week break from her show — doctor's orders.
"My doctor has prescribed — are you ready? — as of today, three weeks of vacation," she explained. "What? Who are you? I was pissed."
Repeat episodes of the show will air during Wendy's break, a rep for Williams explained in a statement to People.
