Young Thug's fashion sense has everyone talking. The Atlanta rapper is pushing hip-hop style by wearing a ruffled gown by Alessandro Trincone on the cover of his new album Jeffrey. And his recent reveal that he's not that into sex has many talking sex and gender and sexuality.
Now, as he continues to open up, he says that gendered fashion is not his thing and he used to wear women's clothes, even as a child.
As a kid, Thug tells Billboard that he would often wear his sisters' clothes. “When I was 12, my feet were so small I wore my sisters’ glitter shoes." This would incite anger - and a beating - from his father. "My dad would whoop me: ‘You’re not going to school now, you’ll embarrass us!’" Thug says. "But I never gave a f*ck what people think.”
That defiant attitude is getting Thug on high fashion's radar. “When it comes to swag,” he says, “there’s no gender involved.” He tells the magazine that he plans on wearing a dress during his upcoming wedding.
During Fashion Week this season, Thug even hopped on the runway to fix a model's look during the VFiles show. Watch the awesome moment below:
