Oxygen Panels at CrimeCon 2023

On Day 1, Oxygen kicks things off with the panel "Violent Minds: What Drives the Most Heinous Killers" Moderated by Oxygen Correspondent Stephanie Gomulka with participation from Executive Producer Kathryn Vaughan, Dr. Katherine Ramsland, and Dr. Gary Brocato, the conversation will delve into the mind of serial killer Manny Cortez, whose prison interviews with Dr. Al Carlisle are featured on the series Violent Minds: Killers on Tape.

The following day, Cold Justice star and former Texas prosecutor Kelly Siegler will take to the stage with documentarian Andrew Nock and Cold Justice executive producer Zak Cordova for a discussion about the series and her continued efforts to find justice for victims and their loved ones. More information is to come.

Lastly, for Oxygen's final panel, the network will provide a fascinating, inside look into the making of the popular show Snapped.

"Join Madeline Griffey (EP, Showrunner), David Lane (Director of Recreations, Field Producer), Deborah Allen (EVP, Showrunner), and Miranda Weiss (Production & Development, Oxygen True Crime), as they pull back the curtain on this true crime fan favorite and give an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at how Snapped is made," the event description reads.

Other CrimeCon 2023 Panels

When fans aren't learning more about Oxygen's shows, they can join panels featuring victim advocates and more. On Day 2, Gabby Petito's parents will participate in a conversation about their daughter's life and death, as well as the events that led to her tragic murder in 2021.

"Gabby’s parents and stepparents, Nichole and Jim Schmidt, and Joe and Tara Petito are changing the narrative and stigmas associated with domestic violence. Through the efforts of the Gabby Petito Foundation and the spirit of who Gabby was, the hope is to make sure this kind of tragedy never befalls another family," according to the event description.

Additionally, the prosecutors and defense attorneys who took part in the trial against disgraced South Carolina attorney Alex Murdaugh earlier this year will also be at the convention. Those who watched the trial, which ended with Murdaugh being convicted in his wife Maggie and son Paul's murders, can meet Creighton Waters, Jim Griffin, and Dick Harpootlian during separate meet and greets on Day 2.
