In "Blood & Money," LAPD investigators recall the Christmastime 2000 murder of Susan Berman and the cases ties to the 20-year-old disappearance of the wife of Robert Durst. 

The writer and real estate mogul were linked by a long friendship, a cryptic “cadaver” note and murder.

Los Angeles Deputy District Attorney John Lewin says he wanted to get the jury to realize that Robert Durst was "a guy who doesn't believe that any rules apply to himself."

With his death, Robert Durst has avoided being fully convicted of any of the three killings he had been linked to.

Westchester County DA Mimi Rocah said "missed opportunities by law enforcement officials" is why it took nearly 40 years for Robert Durst to be charged for the presumed murder of his wife Kathleen "Kathie" McCormack Durst.  

Robert Durst's conviction for Susan Berman's murder will be vacated because he'd been in the midst of an appeal at the time of his death.

Robert Durst, who was recently convicted of the murder of Susan Berman and then indicted for the murder of his wife Kathleen “Kathie” McCormack Durst, has died in custody.

Robert Durst's health has been upgraded to fair following a mugshot of him laying feebly in a hospital bed, according to an official in California's Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation.

Bob Abrams, who represents the family of Kathleen McCormack Durst, said he intends to  "go after everybody — lawyers, prosecutors, police, friends of Durst — who got paid hundreds of thousands of dollars to participate in this cover up."
