On Friday, the girlfriend of Jennifer Dulos' estranged husband was found guilty of conspiracy to commit murder in the 2019 death of the Connecticut mother.

Michelle Troconis, the girlfriend of Fotis Dulos, was also convicted of tampering with evidence and hindering prosecution. She's set to be sentenced on May 31, NBC News reported.

Six of Jennifer’s friends spoke exclusively with Dateline NBC correspondent Dennis Murphy while the jury deliberated, sharing their thoughts on Jennifer and her children, for a two-hour special airing Friday at 9/8c p.m.

Titled "A Life Interrupted," a description of the broadcast promises it "will feature new interviews and an inside look at the case through never-been-seen evidence, including expansive video and photos from residential security systems and urban police cameras that detailed the timeline of the crime."

What happened to Jennifer Dulos?

Jennifer, a mother of five living in New Canaan, Connecticut, disappeared in May 2019 shortly after dropping her kids off at school. At the time, she had been going through a contentious divorce and custody battle with her husband Fotis. While her remains have never been found, authorities stated that evidence indicated Fotis had been "lying in wait" for Jennifer to return home and attacked her.

Troconis was charged with helping Fotis cover up the murder in January 2020.

A judge formally declared her dead in October 2023, according to NBC Connecticut.

What did Jennifer Dulos' friends say about the Connecticut mom?

One friend who spoke to Dateline, identified only as Sonia, told Murphy: “[Jennifer] was a person that shows up, she would've done that for us. For me, it was important to show up for her and her kids.”

When Jennifer's friends were asked how her kids were doing, they shared with Dateline: "They’re very impressive young people, and they are going to do amazing things."

Earlier this week, Murphy also spoke with Troconis’ attorney Jon Schoenhorn, who continued to deny that she had anything to do with Dulos’ murder. When Murphy brought up the prosecution’s claim that his client gave Fotis an alibi, Schoenhorn said: “Even if she was covering for her boyfriend, that’s a far cry from saying she knows that while he’s not there, his purpose is to murder his wife.”

What happened to Fotis Dulos?

Jennifer's husband Fotis was charged with felony murder in her case, along with kidnapping and several other crimes. He died in January of 2020 at age 52, two days after a suicide attempt.
