Ice-T is a cultural icon whose artistry spans across music, film and television. Having formed Rhyme Syndicate Records in 1989, he released a string of groundbreaking West Coast rap records that eventually led to his forming the thrash metal band “Body Count.” The group’s controversial, politically-conscious music received critical acclaim and garnered a 2018 Grammy nomination for Best Metal Performance. A mainstay on the small screen with his role as Detective Odafin Tutuola on “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” for his 19th season, Ice-T has also lent his talents to directing and producing. He has written three books throughout his career, and has taken his life experiences on lecture tours across America’s prisons and schools.
