At the time of Martha's slaying, Littleton was working as the live-in tutor of Moxley's neighbors, the Skakels. Moxley was last seen alive the night of October 30, 1975 at the Skakel residence. The following day, her body was discovered in the backyard of her family's home in Greenwich, Connecticut.
