A Navy Corpsman Steps Forward

Michelle Velovich, a detective with the San Diego Police Dept., describes how difficult cases involving victims of sexual assault can be, as the emotionally and psychologically devastating effects of such an incident can lead to a reluctance to tell the whole story. The investigation of Dane Williams' murder therefore gained a fortunate advantage when a Navy Corpsman, himself a victim of sexual assault, stepped forward to help with the case.
