According to Lufkin, Texas District Attorney Clyde Herrington, Saenz had previously been employed at Woodland Heights Hospital and was fired becase of being a suspect in the theft of Demerol. In 2012, Saenz was found guilty of the 2008 murders of five dialysis patients and injuring five other patients.
